Job Details
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification; up to 1 year of relevant experience; ability to work in Chattanooga, TN.
- Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac knowledge preferred; experience with telemetry and cardiac medication management including Heparin, Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include documentation of telemetry application and rhythm strips, acknowledging patient rhythms each shift, patient bedside rounding, hourly rounding with 5 Ps, and collaborating with PCTs. The unit emphasizes shared governance and has charge nurses with significant seniority. Dress code dictates navy scrubs for RNs and color-coded uniforms for CNAs/PCTs. Floating to other medical-surgical areas such as general medical-surgical, orthopedic, PCU, or surgical with oncology may be required based on skill needs.
