Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Stepdown/Med-Surg position requiring 2 years of experience and a Missouri or compact RN license.

Details

  • Med-Surg unit requiring Stepdown experience and skillsets
  • Day shift schedule, open to 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (0700-1930)
  • Patient ratio of 1:5
  • Epic EMR system used for charting
  • Level II Trauma and Level II Stroke Center hospital setting

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Missouri State or Compact) required, pending licenses considered but must be active and in-hand prior to start
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • CPI and NIHSS certifications also required
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • IV therapy, phlebotomy, and PICC line management skills required
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring, wound care, and isolation precautions/PPE required
  • Experience with CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, and ortho trauma preferred
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care to Med-Surg and Stepdown patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
  • Free parking available on-site
  • Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
  • Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
  • Previous travel experience preferred but not required
