Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring 18 months of recent stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the HVTI-Stepdown unit of a hospital environment
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day and night shifts on a 3x12 schedule (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30)
• Shifts may vary to meet operational needs of the hospital
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active Ohio or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty being applied for required
• 18 months of recent Stepdown experience required (travel experience accepted)
• PCU/Progressive care experience preferred but not required
• Must achieve an acceptable score on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care within a Stepdown unit setting, with potential float assignments to related units
• Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Assignment length options include 13 or 20 weeks to provide winter coverage
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Extensions may allow travelers to remain on assignment for up to 18 months, with a required break before returning
