Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Cleveland, OH, where you will play a critical role in patient care within the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with the potential to float to various units, providing care for a diverse patient population.

As a Step Down RN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care. Your expertise in managing complex patient needs will be essential. The facility will do its best to honor your preferred shift; however, they reserve the right to rotate shifts if necessary to meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.

Requirements:

• Must have 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
• Must have a permanent Ohio license or Compact State license in hand.
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS & NIHSS certification required.
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation; an acceptable score on both assessments is required.
