Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Cleveland, OH. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down setting. We are looking for dedicated RNs who are ready to make a difference in the lives of patients.

As a Step Down RN, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care while working in a fast-paced environment. The position may require floating to other units as needed, ensuring continuity of care for patients. This position is a contract role with a flexible schedule, including day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Step Down unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Must have 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
• PCU/Progressive care experience is preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid Ohio license or compact state license in hand.
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS & NIHSS certification required.
• Travelers must work at least every other holiday.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required on both assessments.
