• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; weekend rotation and holidays as needed
• Orientation: 20 hours
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratio: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Telemetry exam required prior to start
• Experience caring for complex adult and geriatric surgical patients preferred
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills and comfort with high-acuity inpatient care
• Ability to float as needed
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
• Epic experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care for adult and geriatric patients on a busy surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with NG tubes, feeding tubes, PICC lines, drains, TPN, ostomies, wound VACs, PCAs, and epidurals
• Administer medications and therapies, including blood products, insulin protocols, and IV management
• Support post-operative recovery, wound care, and patient and family education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate charting in Epic and uphold unit standards for safety and professionalism
