Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN with Med-Surg and Stepdown skillsets for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring a MO or compact RN license and 2 years of experience.

Details

• Med-Surg unit requiring Stepdown experience and skillsets
• 1:5 patient ratio
• Day shift 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 0700-1930
• Epic charting system experience required
• Level II Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center environment

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact licensure required, pending license accepted if active and in-hand prior to start
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• CPI and NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management preferred
• Experience with blood product administration, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions/PPE preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote) preferred
• Experience with neurological, orthopedic, and respiratory care (CVA, ortho trauma, oxygen administration) preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/Med-Surg environment at a Level II Trauma and Stroke Center
• Free on-site parking provided
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate, local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
• Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
