Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Critical Care Stepdown unit.
• Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, post-heart catheterization, and respiratory failure.
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management.
• Administer medications, including emergency medications and cardiac drips.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP and assist with chest tube procedures.
• Conduct frequent vital signs and neurovascular checks.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Step-Down experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Proficient in cardiac telemetry, IV start and maintenance, and PICC line management.
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and blood product administration.
• Strong skills in infection prevention and isolation precautions.
• Experience in a community hospital setting is required.
