Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown/Intermediate Care RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and an active MI RN license.

Details

  • 22-bed Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours (1900-0730)
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Every other weekend required
  • Every other holiday required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Cerner PowerChart used for charting
  • Float required based on facility census and staffing needs

Requirements

  • Active MI RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of Stepdown/IMC nursing experience required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • CPI certification preferred
  • Cerner charting experience preferred
  • Skills in cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
  • IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line care experience

Additional Information

  • Care for patients requiring intermediate/stepdown level monitoring including cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and renal conditions
  • Respond to rapid response and code team activations as needed
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
  • Former employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler
  • Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted
  • Candidates requesting holiday RTO must be willing to work one of the three major holidays
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Must complete required onboarding modules within the first week of the assignment
  • Facility maintains strict professional conduct standards, with unprofessional behavior or attendance issues potentially resulting in contract termination
