PCU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in step-down care and be prepared to deliver high-quality healthcare to patients in a critical care environment.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and manage patients in the step-down unit, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and observations.
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Shift Details

This position requires working night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification is required.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification can be obtained within the first three weeks of employment.
Preferred candidates will have at least two years of nursing experience, with a focus in step-down or PCU level care.
Permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility.

Attire

Royal blue scrubs are required for this position.

Patient Care Ratio

The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1.
