Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down/PCU position requiring 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and WI or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within an acute care hospital
• Placement on PCU, Med-Surg, or Stepdown unit based on traveler's skill set and greatest facility need
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Floating required within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills validation required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Care provided to progressive care and stepdown patient populations
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• First-time travelers may be considered if travel experience requirement is met
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that affects pay rate
• Radius rule varies by facility location and state
