Description

American Traveler is hiring a Staff Development Coordinator RN for a Long Term Care facility requiring LTC experience and SPICE certification.

Details

  • Long Term Care (LTC) unit setting within a nursing and rehab center
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Must be available to provide direct patient care as needed 24-7 and assume on-call nurse responsibility per policy

Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license required, not pending, with no disciplinary action
  • SPICE certification required
  • Prior LTC experience required
  • Minimum of one year current experience relevant to the position within the last three years
  • Two supervisory references required
  • Copy of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Orient new employees to the facility
  • Provide or schedule educational in-services for nurses and nursing staff
  • Coordinate an annual skills day for nurses and nursing assistants
  • Ensure all nurses and nursing assistants maintain up-to-date licenses and certifications
  • Complete and mail nursing assistant renewal forms
  • Monitor and investigate all incidents and medication errors within the facility
  • Monitor infections within the facility
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing and/or Administrator
  • Local candidates accepted at the standard rate
  • Requested time off (RTO) should be kept to a minimum and approved prior to offer
