    Position Summary

    Role: Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting school districts in McAlester, Eufaula, or Atoka, OK. Setting: 100% school-based. Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Start: ASAP. School experience preferred; new graduates considered. You will assist a licensed SLP in delivering speech and language services to students, implement therapy plans, collect data, prepare materials, and support classroom-based interventions.


    Primary Responsibilities

    • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
    • Deliver one-on-one and small-group therapy to students with communication needs.
    • Monitor and document student progress and maintain accurate records.
    • Prepare therapy materials and visual supports for classroom and therapy settings.
    • Support use and maintenance of communication devices and assistive technology.
    • Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to reinforce therapy goals.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP planning as appropriate under supervision.


    Minimum Requirements

    • Completion of an accredited SLPA training program or equivalent coursework as required by state regulations.
    • Certification or state registration as an SLPA when required by Oklahoma rules.
    • Ability to work full-time in a school setting, 40 hours per week.
    • Experience in school-based settings preferred; new graduates welcome.
    • Ability to follow supervision and treatment plans established by a licensed SLP.
    • Clear background check as required for school employment.
