    Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Acute Rehabilitation Unit

    Location

    Valencia, California

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | 32 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Monday–Friday with Every Other Weekend | Start Time: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | No Call Requirements

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide speech-language pathology services to adult rehabilitation patients across a variety of diagnoses, including neurological, orthopedic, and other medical conditions requiring acute rehabilitation level of care.
    • Conduct evaluations and deliver therapeutic interventions within a 19-bed acute rehabilitation unit.
    • Perform and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) and Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies (VFSS) as applicable.
    • Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system.
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support patient recovery and discharge planning.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of California.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
    • Ability to work every other weekend as part of the scheduled rotation.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in an Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) setting strongly preferred.
    • Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) and Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies (VFSS) preferred.
