Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language pathology services within a 66-bed LTACH setting
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with dysphagia, swallowing disorders, and voice impairments
- Perform and interpret Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies using in-house equipment
- Implement Passy Muir Valve (PMV) protocols and related voice/swallowing interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and execute individualized patient treatment plans
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of Nevada
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Demonstrated proficiency with Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies
- This is not a compact-eligible state; a Nevada state license is required prior to placement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with ventilator-dependent and tracheostomy patients
- Proficiency with Passy Muir Valve (PMV) assessment and management
- Prior experience in an LTACH, acute care, or similarly complex clinical environment
