Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language pathology services in an inpatient rehabilitation and acute care setting
- Independently perform and complete Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) Studies in radiology without radiologist supervision
- Complete clinical documentation using EMR (Epic, transitioning November 2025) for inpatient care
- Evaluate and treat patients across rehab, acute, and SNF levels of care, with possible outpatient referrals
- Float to other units or facilities as needed based on census and staffing requirements
- Adhere to facility dress code requirements, including scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Active State of Hawaii Speech Language Pathology license required by assignment start date
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Demonstrated ability to independently complete Modified Barium Swallow Studies without supervision
- Acute care experience required
- Current BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a SNF or inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting strongly preferred
- Prior experience with Epic EMR documentation
- Familiarity with Meditech computerized documentation systems
