Contract | Travel | Days | 13 Weeks | 32 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Start Time 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Occasional Saturday Hours
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language pathology services to a primarily geriatric patient population in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Evaluate and treat patients with stroke and neurological diagnoses
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EHR
- Manage a caseload at a 5:1 patient-to-therapist ratio within a 16-bed unit
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support patient recovery and discharge planning
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
- Active and valid SLP licensure or eligibility to practice in New Mexico
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience
- No call requirements; no float requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with stroke and neurological patient populations
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
- Background in inpatient rehabilitation or acute care settings
