Speech Language Pathologist - Contract

Location: Bishop, CA

Job Details:
  • Base Hours = 40/week
  • Pay Rate = $30/hr (Travel), $1550 stipend
  • Shift Hours = 0800 - 1830
  • Assignment Length = 13 Weeks

SnapCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient progress and improve overall quality of life.

Qualifications:
  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred or required based on facility requirements.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in acute care, outpatient, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, school, or home health settings preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Provide therapy to improve communication skills, speech clarity, language development, cognitive functioning, and swallowing abilities.
  • Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and recommend dietary modifications when appropriate.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercises, and communication strategies.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment interventions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety guidelines.
  • Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.
