Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide speech-language pathology services in both outpatient and acute care settings, with approximately 90% of time spent in outpatient
  • Manage an outpatient caseload consisting of approximately 70% pediatric patients and 30% adult patients
  • Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) as part of outpatient responsibilities
  • Provide acute care services for adult patients, including proficient administration of Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS)
  • Participate in on-call rotation every 3rd weekend for NPO order coverage
Required Qualifications
  • Active North Carolina (NC) Speech Language Pathologist license required
  • Proficiency in Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS) required for acute care responsibilities
  • Ability to perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) required
  • Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations
  • Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible (candidates between 50-80 miles may be screened on a case-by-case basis prior to submittal)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Strong pediatric speech-language pathology background given the predominantly pediatric outpatient caseload
  • Prior experience in a combined outpatient and acute care setting
  • Comfort with on-call responsibilities in a hospital environment
