We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team for a maternity leave coverage assignment. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Assess and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to maximize rehabilitation outcomes
  • Educate patients and caregivers on communication strategies, swallowing safety, compensatory techniques, and home exercise programs
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on improving communication, swallowing function, and overall quality of life
Requirements
  • Required: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Required: Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of practice or ability to obtain
  • Preferred: Previous clinical experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing setting
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, where applicable
  • Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
