Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 14-week assignment. The ideal candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders while helping patients achieve greater independence and improved quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients for speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide speech and language therapy interventions to improve communication skills.
- Assess and treat dysphagia and swallowing disorders.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License required.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- CCC-SLP certification preferred.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and communication skills.
- Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, post-acute care, or healthcare experience preferred.
