Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - $2,207 per week in Monroe, NC

License: State license required. Certifications: BLS, vehicle insurance, CCCs (certification of clinical competency). Must-Have: Master’s degree or above, HomeCare HomeBase EMR experience. Description: This is a home health-based position. The Speech Language Pathologist will cover specific counties. The case load is based on a point system, averaging 5-6 points per day. Patient types will primarily include adults, mostly geriatric. Common diagnoses involve CVA, TBI, dysphagia, apraxia, speech and cognition impairment, and cancer patients. Skills required include expertise in swallowing difficulties, conducting swallow studies, developing and evaluating care plans, identifying aspiration risks, and determining appropriate diets. Patient and family education is a key aspect of the role. Experience with HomeCare HomeBase is necessary. Support within the department includes access to another SLP via phone as needed. Regular care consultations with an interdisciplinary team will take place. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekend rotation or on-call requirements. Approval of time-off requests is acceptable. Dress code requires light gray scrubs.
