Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders while helping patients achieve improved communication abilities and greater independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients for speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical needs.
- Provide speech and language therapy to improve communication and functional outcomes.
- Assess and treat dysphagia and swallowing disorders.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and families regarding therapy programs and home exercises.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Adhere to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License required.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- CCC-SLP Certification preferred.
- Current BLS Certification preferred.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and communication skills.
- Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, post-acute care, or healthcare experience preferred.
