Physical Therapist – Inpatient Rehab Facility Information

Facility: Las Palmas Rehab Hospital
Location: El Paso, TX
Shift Time: Start Time: 08:00 AM End Time: 05:00 PM

Duration: 13 Weeks

Assignment Details

• Shift: Days, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Weekends: Days, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Call: None

• Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Unit Overview

The primary assignment will be within Inpatient Rehabilitation. When rehab volume is lower, therapists may assist with acute care and outpatient services.

• Full-Time PT Staff: 2

• Day Staffing: 2 PTs and 2 PTAs

• Night Staffing: N/A

• EMR: Meditech

Patient Volume

• Inpatient Rehab: Approximately 5–6 patient-care hours

• Acute Care: Approximately 12–15 patients

• Outpatient: Approximately 6–7 patients

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• Active Texas State Physical Therapy License
• Previous Inpatient Rehabilitation experience
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual skills preferred, due to a large Hispanic patient population

• Experience working across inpatient rehab, acute care, and/or outpatient settings

Typical Responsibilities

• Perform PT evaluations and reassessments

• Provide physical therapy treatments for inpatient rehabilitation patients

• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences

• Provide family training

• Conduct home assessments

• Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical needs
