Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for an 18-week assignment. The ideal candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders while helping patients achieve their highest level of communication and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide speech and language therapy services based on patient-specific goals.
- Assess and treat dysphagia (swallowing disorders).
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapy programs and home exercises.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License required.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and treatment planning skills.
- Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, post-acute care, or healthcare experience preferred.
