    Speech Language Pathologist – Acute Care in Bakersfield, California. Start date 08/24/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Earn $2,424–$2,503 per week. 40 hours per week guaranteed. Shift: five 8-hour days (days). Work setting: acute care in a hospital-type environment.

    Responsibilities
    - Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
    - Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia concerns; establish and monitor treatment plans
    - Document evaluation findings, treatment progress, and discharge plans per clinical standards and regulatory requirements
    - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care and inform discharge planning
    - Educate patients, families, and caregivers on management strategies and home programs; contribute to care rounds and care planning discussions

    Requirements
    - Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in California (or eligibility for licensure) and ability to meet state and federal licensure, certification, and accrediting requirements
    - Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
    - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an acute care setting and to engage with multidisciplinary teams
    - Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment; able to travel to and work the listed schedule
    - Prior clinical experience in speech-language pathology; acute care experience preferred
    - Ability to complete required credentialing and background checks as part of assignment onboarding
