Interventional Radiology Travel Nurse Job Details

- Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, typically 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Monday–Friday
- Shifts per Week: 4 shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment

- Holiday Requirement: Work two of the following major holidays—Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day—and one minor holiday, such as the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve.
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
- At least 2 years of recent experience in interventional radiology, special procedures, or a closely related specialty
- Radiology nursing experience preferred
- Critical care, emergency department, or post-anesthesia care experience may be considered
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Strong patient assessment, IV sedation monitoring, and patient safety skills
Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic radiology and interventional procedures
- Administer and monitor IV sedation in accordance with applicable protocols and scope of practice
- Complete pre-procedure assessments, medication reconciliation, patient education, and post-procedure monitoring
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition during and after procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists, procedural staff, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation while supporting infection prevention and procedural safety standards
- Deliver compassionate care to patients and families throughout the procedural experience
