Position: Personal Care Assistant (PCA) PPS $$SN$$
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Shift: Days 5x7s – 35 hours/week
Duration: 38 weeks
Job Duties
• Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting, hygiene, feeding, and dressing.
• Support mobility and physical needs, including lifting, transferring, and positioning students safely.
• Help students participate in classroom activities and follow instructional guidance.
• Provide behavioral support using positive reinforcement and appropriate intervention strategies.
• Assist with communication needs, including supporting students who use nonverbal communication or AAC systems.
• Monitor student behavior and report changes or concerns to teachers or supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for students.
• Accompany students to special classes, lunch, recess, and transportation.
• Follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and safety plans.
• Complete accurate daily documentation, including service logs and other required records.
