Position: PPS Nursing Assignment (LPN or RN) – Pioneer $$SN$$
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Shift: Days – 35 hours/week (Building Hours: 7:45 AM – 2:11 PM)
Duration: 38 weeks

Job Duties
• Provide direct nursing care to a seventh-grade student in a school setting.
• Provide basic nursing care and support for acute or chronic health conditions as assigned.
• Assist with daily health needs, including feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Monitor the student's condition and promptly report any changes or health concerns to the supervising RN.
• Administer medications as prescribed under RN supervision and district policy.
• Perform routine nursing procedures, including tube feedings, catheter care, blood glucose monitoring, and other assigned treatments.
• Work closely with special education staff to support the student's health and educational needs.
• Assist in implementing Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), IEPs, and 504 health supports.
• Provide one-on-one nursing care for medically fragile students when assigned.
• Maintain accurate health records, treatment logs, medication documentation, and student interaction records.
• Respond appropriately to medical needs and emergencies according to established care plans and school protocols.
• Collaborate with the supervising RN and school team while maintaining confidentiality and professional communication.
