Description:

Cognitive Impairment Special Education Teacher

Shift Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:10 PM

Grade Level: Elementary Caseload – Grades 2–4

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs aligned with student goals
• Provide differentiated instruction based on individual learning needs
• Collect and document progress monitoring data
• Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and families
• Maintain compliance with IDEA and district special education requirements
• Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements

• Valid Michigan Special Education license with Cognitive Impairment (CI) endorsement
• Previous experience working with students with severe impairments highly preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills are a must
