Special Education Teacher – Moderate Cognitive Impairment (MoCI)Shift Details
- Hours: 7:40 AM – 2:45 PM
- Setting: Moderate Cognitive Impairment (MoCI) Special Education
- Caseload: 8–10 students
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IEPs aligned with student goals
- Provide differentiated instruction based on individual learning needs
- Collect and document progress monitoring data
- Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and families
- Maintain compliance with IDEA and district special education requirements
- Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
- Valid Michigan Special Education certification
- Cognitive Impairment (SA or CI) endorsement required
- Previous experience working with students with cognitive impairments preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
