Description

American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine/High Risk clinic, requiring 1+ years experience and strong OB/GYN scanning skills.

Details

  • Outpatient clinic setting within Radiology/Sonography MFM-High Risk department
  • 2 scanners available, GE equipment
  • Performs BPP, growth, and dating studies averaging 8-10 scans per day
  • No floating to other departments required
  • Uses EPIC and Viewpoint systems
  • Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • No weekends, holidays, or call requirements
  • Reports to Clinic Manager and coordinates with the MFM team

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of sonography experience, negotiable based on ability to perform MFM scans
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • RDMS-OB/GYN certification through ARDMS required
  • License required if applicable
  • Strong OB/GYN scanning skills and nuchal translucency experience required
  • MFM experience preferred
  • Must be capable of working independently
  • Experience with EPIC and Viewpoint systems needed

Additional Information

  • Will orient to department workflows alongside a full-time technician in the office
  • Black scrubs required and provided
  • Does not require IV starts
  • No in-house radiologist, but MFM support is available
  • Candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler
  • Former WVU Medicine travelers must have a 2-year break before reapplying, with a maximum cumulative year of work within WVU facilities before requiring a break
