Registered Nurse (RN) – Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care

Shift: 12-hour days, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
⏰ Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week
EMR: Epic (facility notes also mention PointClickCare; please confirm)
Scrubs: Navy blue

Unit Details
- 60 residents total, divided into two 30-resident units
- Mix of long-term residents and short-term rehabilitation patients
- RN/LPN ratio: 1:15
- CNA ratio: 1:10
Job Responsibilities
- Administer medications and provide nursing care.
- Manage IVs, PICC lines, mediports, and central lines.
- Administer IV antibiotics, blood products, and IV fluids.
- Provide wound care, catheter care, PEG tube feedings, ostomy care, and tracheostomy care as applicable to role.
- Care for patients with CHF, CKD, UTIs, sepsis, femur fractures, and NSTEMI.
- Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS/CPR certification required before the first day
- Experience with IV therapy and central-line care is important
- Two orientation shifts provided
- Must be flexible with scheduling; block scheduling is not guaranteed
- Travelers may float as needed and will float before core staff
Additional Information
- No self-scheduling
- No call or standby requirements
- Facility may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract
- COVID vaccine not required
- No separate COVID unit; enhanced droplet precautions and N95 use may be required
