Job Summary
Physical Therapist Assistant, Physical Therapist in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting, Texas. The position provides skilled, medically necessary rehabilitation services under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include implementing treatment interventions, monitoring patient progress, documenting services, and communicating with patients, families, caregivers, and members of the healthcare team.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Texas; at least 1 year of Physical Therapist Assistant experience; long-term care or rehabilitation experience; required license verification, skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission, professional references, and work history or resume.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts; 8-hour shifts; minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Provides rehabilitative treatment interventions, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices. Assesses patient progress, reports treatment outcomes, contributes to discharge planning, maintains clinical documentation, records treatment minutes, participates in patient care and rehabilitation meetings, completes required training, assists with durable medical equipment and supplies, and supports students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist. Practice must comply with applicable professional standards, state practice requirements, and ethical guidelines.
