Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity ICU nursing care with a 1:2 patient ratio in a Surgical ICU setting
• Deliver post-operative care for surgical recovery patients, including general surgery and transplant recovery (liver, heart, lungs, kidney, pancreas)
• Perform and monitor Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and Pulmonary Artery (PA) Catheter management
• Manage patients undergoing Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
• Float to other ICUs and Step-Down Units (SDUs) as required
• Document all patient care accurately using the Epic EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of experience in SICU or equivalent specialty
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale Certification required (AHA-issued certifications required)
• Epic EMR experience required
• NURSYS report required and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as shown on driver's license) to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with PA catheters and intra-aortic balloon pumps
• CVICU background including post-op CABG, valve replacement/repair, and aortic dissection management
• Transplant recovery experience (liver, heart, lungs, kidney, pancreas)
