Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU night shift position requiring active IL RN licensure and 2+ years of SICU experience.

Details

• Surgical ICU (SICU) unit within a Level 1 trauma center
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation required every third weekend, including holiday rotation
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float across local campuses within the same discipline
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of acceptance
• IA RN license or compact license must be applied for at time of acceptance if not already active
• Minimum 2 years of SICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with titratable sedation, titratable pressors, titratable insulin, and Heparin required
• Must be comfortable floating across campuses if needed
• Driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory reference required, from within 2 years of employment/contract
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission required

Additional Information

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team for SICU patients
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Cannot have been employed by the facility's health system within the past 12 months
• Required to work 1-2 of the 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• At least one completed travel contract is preferred but not required
