Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend required | Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical and trauma adult critical care patients in a fast-paced 15-bed intensive care unit within a Level 1 facility
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
• Complete required unit-specific orientation modules as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in a surgical or trauma ICU setting
• Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center environment
