ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in an ICU or critical care setting
• Current travel RN experience required
• Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong critical care skills including ventilator management, IV starts, arterial line management, central line care, and vasoactive drip titration
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patient populations

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care for critically ill ICU patients with complex medical needs
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, respiratory support, and lab findings
• Administer and manage advanced therapies including ventilators, CRRT, blood products, and sedation protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV teams, and other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and support safe, evidence-based interventions
• Deliver compassionate critical care while promoting the best possible outcomes for a diverse patient population
