Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift role at a Level I/II Trauma hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and NICU/Pediatric exposure.

Details

  • Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit within a Level I and Level II Trauma hospital
  • Work settings include Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatrics, and Transports
  • Night shift schedule alternating 4x8 and 5x8 hour shifts from 1830-0300, totaling 72 hours per pay period
  • Weekend rotation of every other Saturday and Sunday, approximately 3 weekends in a six-week block
  • Epic charting system used

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience required
  • NICU/Pediatric RRT experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I and Level II experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
  • NBRC RRT certification required
  • MN RRT license required if applicable; pending license accepted but must be obtained by start date
  • Skills in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, airway management, and neonatal/pediatric respiratory procedures preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations including ARDS, aspiration, cystic fibrosis, and tracheostomy care
  • Perform ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, high frequency oscillation, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
  • Administer aerosolized and inhaled medications using various delivery systems
  • Support neonatal and pediatric procedures such as high-risk deliveries, intubation assist, and neonatal transports
  • Scrub color required: Dove Gray
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility as local candidates are not accepted
  • Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
  • All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of submission
  • Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
  • Lab work and Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, with fingerprinting done in person in Minnesota the Monday prior to the start date
