Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position at a Level III trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and comfort treating both adult and pediatric ICU patients.

Details

• Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs or between like units
• No on-call requirement
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active state or Compact license required at submission (if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of applicable experience required
• Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• No background or license actions within the past 12 months
• SSN and DOB required at submission
• Must pass Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance

Additional Information

• 733 staffed bed facility
• Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
• Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted, no holiday RTO accepted
• Candidates may request one major holiday only, subject to manager discretion
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• System has a 2 contract limit for night shift with one extension allowed, then must wait 6 months to return
• Call-off policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week assignment before affecting guaranteed hours
• Missed scheduled shifts require a makeup shift as deemed necessary by the department
