Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU/Recovery Room position requiring NV licensure, prior travel experience, and Level II Trauma Center skills.

Details

  • Surgery SCC Recovery Room setting within a Level II Trauma Center and Stroke accredited 800-bed hospital
  • 4x10's schedule with varied shifts and rotating days of the week (Monday-Friday)
  • Call requirements include 2 weeknights and 1 weekend day
  • May be required to float to other departments based on organizational needs and competency level
  • Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and call shifts
  • Epic EMR used, with training available during orientation or option to test out

Requirements

  • Active NV RN license required prior to start
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years Surgery Recovery Room experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required, including at least one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year
  • CMP bloodwork required prior to start

Additional Information

  • Provides comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients throughout the episode of care
  • Coordinates care with other professionals and involves family or significant others in assessment and planning when possible
  • Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
  • Required to work a minimum of 2 major holidays during the contract
  • May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
  • Facility may cancel shifts without penalty for low census with 48 hours notice
  • A 13-week break is required between assignments for returning travelers
  • No blocked scheduling permitted; all assignments are for 13 weeks
  • Requested RTO must be submitted with the initial application
