Professional RN Team Lead

Schedule

Shift: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Job Description

The Professional RN Team Lead is responsible for time management, critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization in direct patient care. Responsibilities include assessment, monitoring, recording, and reporting changes in patient condition. The Professional RN Team Lead collaborates with the care team, participates in interdisciplinary care, and advocates for patients. The role requires the ability to transition to an LPN Med Cart position as needed and based on staffing availability.

Responsibilities

• Manage time effectively while prioritizing patient care needs.
• Assess, monitor, record, and report patient conditions and changes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient care.
• Advocate for patient interests and rights.
• Promote evidence-based practice and best practices in patient care.
• Maintain clinical competence specific to the care area, including required education.
• Communicate effectively and document thoroughly in EMR.
• Participate in unit councils and staff meetings.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards within the scope of practice.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible to float to other units and serve in the LPN capacity when needed.
