Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation Unit

Schedule

Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM (Days) or 07:00 PM - 07:15 AM (Nights) with every other weekend rotation.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility. This role involves working with adults and geriatric patients recovering from various injuries and conditions, including strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, amputations, and orthopedic injuries. The Registered Nurse will implement individualized care plans and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and manage a caseload of patients in rehab.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as required.
• Assess and document patient progress, modifying care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on recovery processes and home care needs.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment adhering to infection control protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience; new grads will not be considered.
• Experience with Med-Surg and inpatient rehabilitation is preferred.
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR is a must.
