Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Digestive Health Procedures unit position requiring IL RN licensure and prior sedation/procedural nursing experience.

Details

  • Digestive Health Center within a hospital setting
  • Provides care for patients undergoing digestive health procedures requiring sedation
  • Responsibilities include Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care and anesthesia assistance for CRNA-involved cases
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 9-hour shifts with a set day off
  • 36 hours per week
  • Occasional weekend shift may be requested if needed
  • EPIC charting system used

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

  • Prepares patients for procedures, completes assessments, reviews health history, initiates IVs, and provides patient education
  • Monitors and sedates patients during procedures
  • Delegates and supervises patient care using the nursing process
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates not accepted
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break before returning to any facility within the health system
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
