Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients, including assessments and interventions.
Monitor patient status and respond to changes with timely interventions.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital policy.
Document nursing assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
Adhere to safety standards, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans.
Engage in continuous learning to meet growth and advancement goals.
Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to high-visibility metrics.
Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments, and discharge needs.
Maintain readiness for unit-based emergencies and rapid response.
Support on-site operational efficiency by managing time and prioritizing tasks.
Experience/Qualifications
Active RN license in Arizona with PCU/step-down experience preferred.
Experience delivering direct nursing care in progressive care units (PCU).
Ability to triage, monitor changes, and implement timely interventions.
Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation.
Strong collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to update care plans.
Knowledge of infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Willingness to participate in quality improvement and high-visibility metrics.
Capacity to educate patients/families on care plans and discharge needs.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and growth
