Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients, including assessments and interventions.

• Monitor patient status and respond to changes with timely interventions.

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital policy.

• Document nursing assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.

• Adhere to safety standards, infection control, and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans.

• Engage in continuous learning to meet growth and advancement goals.

• Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to high-visibility metrics.

• Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments, and discharge needs.

• Maintain readiness for unit-based emergencies and rapid response.

• Support on-site operational efficiency by managing time and prioritizing tasks.

Experience/Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona with PCU/step-down experience preferred.

• Experience delivering direct nursing care in progressive care units (PCU).

• Ability to triage, monitor changes, and implement timely interventions.

• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation.

• Strong collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to update care plans.

• Knowledge of infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.

• Willingness to participate in quality improvement and high-visibility metrics.

• Capacity to educate patients/families on care plans and discharge needs.

• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and growth
