Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for an Oncology Clinic position requiring current chemotherapy certification and at least 1 year of chemotherapy experience.

Details

  • Radiation Therapy unit within an oncology clinic setting
  • Day shift schedule of 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly

Requirements

  • Active OK or multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
  • Minimum of 1 year chemotherapy experience required
  • Minimum of 1 year nursing experience required
  • 1 year of Oncology experience preferred
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred

Additional Information

  • Provides nursing care to a variety of oncology patients ranging from simple to complex health needs
  • Administers medications and chemotherapy treatments as prescribed
  • Initiates, regulates and monitors IV infusions and blood products
  • Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Coordinates and communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
  • Facility strictly enforces compliance deadlines, so candidates should begin required onboarding documentation immediately
  • Returning workers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
