Description

American Traveler is hiring an Oncology RN for a rotating shift 13-week assignment requiring active MA RN licensure and oncology experience including BMT and cellular therapies.

Details

  • Work on a 3-pod oncology unit with 10-bed pods
  • 1:3 to 1:4 staffing ratios
  • Rotating shift schedule
  • May float to other oncology units
  • Cares for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and solid tumor diagnoses
  • Administers cellular products and supports clinical trials
  • Uses telemetry, PCA pumps, blood warmer, bladder scanner, and Baxter pumps
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
  • BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Oncology experience required, including mixed solid tumor, hematologic malignancy, BMT, and cellular therapies
  • Experience with telemetry, PCA pumps, blood warmer, bladder scanner, and Baxter pumps required
  • Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
  • Both NURSYS and BON verification required for nursing license

Additional Information

  • Provides direct patient care for a complex oncology population across multiple diagnoses and treatment modalities
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions
  • Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
  • First-time travelers may be considered
