Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology RN with expertise in solid tumor, heme malignancy, BMT and cellular therapies for a 13-week assignment requiring an active MA RN license.

Details

Work on a 3-pod oncology unit with 10-bed pods
Staffing ratios of 1:3 to 1:4
Rotating shift schedule
May float to other oncology units
Cares for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and solid tumor diagnoses
Involves cellular product administration and clinical trial patient care
Uses telemetry, PCA pumps, blood warmers, bladder scanners, and Baxter pumps
Epic charting system used

Requirements

Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
Oncology nursing experience required, including mixed solid tumor, heme malignancy, BMT, and cellular therapy patients
Experience with telemetry, PCA pumps, blood warmers, bladder scanners, and Baxter pumps required
Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients undergoing complex treatments including cellular therapies and clinical trials
Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
Local candidates accepted if residing within 60 miles of Boston, at a reduced rate
Public parking only available near Boston locations, with daily costs ranging from $17-$22
RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
