Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an ED Observation/Step-down unit requiring 1+ years of experience and active CO or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • ED Observation unit within a hospital setting, step-down/PCU candidates only
  • Patient population includes insulin drips, sepsis, and other acuity adaptable cases
  • Schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts per week (1900-0730) with rotating weekends
  • Floating required to other telemetry units, Ortho surgical trauma, and acuity adaptable units
  • May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active RN license, single state or CO/compact required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA) required, not expiring prior to start
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the specialty
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform independent nursing functions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
  • Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment to patients
  • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Monitor and review ongoing therapy and treatment plans
  • Returning staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
