Location: Des Moines, IA
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro
Contract: 6 months with possibility of extension
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: Every other weekend (EOW) / Every other holiday (EOH)

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Neuro RN to provide high-quality care to patients with neurological conditions in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working night shifts and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological conditions.
• Perform neurological assessments and monitor changes in patient status.
• Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and response to treatments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Recognize and promptly report changes in neurological or clinical condition.
• Assist with procedures and coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Follow hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Previous Neuro/acute care nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Willingness to work every other weekend and every other holiday

Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
6-month contract with possibility of extension
